The Hyatt Centric City Centre Hotel is brilliantly located it Kuala Lumpur’s Golden Triangle, which means that is right in the middle of KL’s best-known attractions, shopping district and restaurant area.
The Hyatt Centric is funky, sophisticated, ultra modern and very comfortable,
It features two great restaurants, a rooftop bar and pool, gymnasium and really good rooms.
The staff are very attentive, friendly and efficient.

Whilst visiting Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia recently we stayed at the fantastic Hyatt Centric City Centre Hotel which, in itself, was a marvellous experience.
The featured restaurant at the Hyatt Centric is called Il Forno, which is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
We enjoyed some fantastic meals there and highly recommend it.
Pitch Black is an aviation military operation than is held every two years in Darwin, Northern Territory, Australia.
For Pitch Black 2026, 20 different air forces from all over the world participated in a number of exercises over a period of about three weeks.
Whilst the skies over Darwin come alive with the sights and sounds of all types of military aircraft, a big event is the Open Day, for which many of the aircraft are on display and visitors can get up close to them, and speak to their crews.

Doha is the capital of Qatar in the Middle East.
It’s an oil-rich nation that is modern, clean and quite spectacular.
With so much wealth confined to this small country, shopping is a popular pastime, and the city features a number of very exclusive malls.
Villaggio Mall is one of these. roughly based on a Venetian theme, it is a remarkable place to visit. If you can’t afford to shop, it costs nothing to gawk, and there is plenty to see there.
I have visited the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona twice. The first time in 1977, and then in 2025.
The first time the site was covered with cranes and although it was fascinating, you really couldn’t get a grasp of just how spectacular this building is.
In 2025 just one crane remained, and the building is almost complete.
The exterior is absolutely stunning, but the interior is simply magnificent. The architect, Antoni Gaudi has used natural light, which shines through hundreds of panes of coloured glass, to give the building an ephemeral effect that is absolutely breathtaking.
If you visit Barcelona a visit to the Sagrada Família should be No. 1 on your bucket list.
