Villaggio Mall in Doha, Qatar is a very extravagant and HUGE shopping mall that has an Italianate theme complete with Venetian canals and gondolas.
It’s a fascinating place to visit!
This video is showing on my YouTube Channel Steve Collins Traveller, please check it out.
I live in Western Australia which is one of the least known, yet one of the most fascinating places on Earth. This video will introduce you to Australia’s largest state.

This was our first full day in Europe. We’d flown from Doha to Milan and had booked an Air B&B in Pasteur for our stay
We didn’t sleep well, as the bed was harder than we were used to. We also had trouble using the washing machine as the instructions were in Italian, and the process wasn’t easy to understand. However, Heather eventually got it to work.

We had no supplies so headed to a nearby cafe for breakfast. Delicious croissants, coffee for Heather and water for me. It was a great experience as we are not staying in a touristy area, and it is definitely not an upmarket area, but is actually quite comfortable.
Whereas Doha was modern, efficient, clean and safe, Milan is very much busier, authentic, chaotic and had personality.
Parking is usually on the street, and people will just park anywhere.
We caught the train from Pasteur into Duomo, a total of six stops.

The carriages have seen better days, the stations are grubby, but there’s a great atmosphere and it does all work.
As we walked out of the subway and onto Piazza del Duomo, the scale of the cathedral really hits you.
It is almost overwhelmingly massive. It dominates the area, and the piazza is caters to thousands of people at any one time.
It’s actually difficult to take it all in, so you hang around just to get the feel of the place.

We had an excellent pizza at a little place opposite the La Scala Opera House.
After walking around a bit more we headed back to our Air BnB for a rest, then went to a local restaurant, Partenopea, which was a short walk away for a magnificent meal.
The staff really looked after us, and we had a lovely night.

In this edition of Australia Overnight with Tony McManus we discuss quirky places and things in Australia, plus donuts.

I first heard about Tony when I was interviewing a guy about his travels through West Africa. He met Tony, and suggested that I should interview him.
I contacted Tony and discovered that he was in Australia, and was visiting the city where I live, Perth, Western Australia. So, I arranged to pick him, and his partner Tatiana, up to interview him on the Australian TV show, The Couch, about his travels.
Afterwards, I brought them back to my place to rest up before taking them to the Airport, as they’d booked to fly to Sydney.
Tony is the most inspiring and dedicated traveller. He’s totally blind and partly deaf, but that doesn’t seem to stop him. Tony has tons of energy and he seems to enjoy life.
I recorded this interview with Tony before Covid occurred. He’s still travelling. Is still adventurous, and is enjoying a life that he wishes rot lead.
As you listen to this conversation, you’ll discover that Tony is a totally unique and positive human being.

Merida in Spain is virtually an open museum that it’s filled with the remnants of Ancient Rome dating from 25BC.

Churchill, Manitoba is located on Hudson Bay and is one of the few places in the world where you can admire polar bears from the safety of a tundra bus.
Frontiers North gets you up close and personal to Churchill’s incredible wildlife
